Meet Jamie

I believe photography is a way of experiencing and interacting with the world around me; of reflecting back to people what is most beautiful about them and their lives in this moment.

Whether I’m paddleboarding, hiking, or unwinding at the beach—especially at my parents’ cherished home on the Jersey Shore—you’ll find me embracing every adventure. From chauffeuring my kids to their activities to spontaneous day trips upstate or long drives, I’m always ready for the next journey. Life is busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Even when I’m off the clock, I live by my own philosophy, rarely without a camera in hand (usually shooting on film) to capture the beauty in my everyday moments.

When I'm not behind the camera (or computer), you'll likely find me on my yoga mat - as a teacher and practitioner - or somewhere outside in the sunshine...hopefully upstate.

Hey there, I'm Jamie! I call New York home.

What first drew me to photography is my family. More specifically, our relationships and traditions. I'm from a big extended family and most Sundays we would gather together to eat dinner at my grandparents. Often we ate in the backyard under their grapevines or on tables made out of actual doors and sawhorses - because all that mattered is that we were together. I strive to capture the spirit of those dinners in every session.

The dreamy moments you want to treasure and hold on to...

my FAVORITE things

I can talk endlessly about the magic of Upstate New York! Please ask me about my favorite restaurants, hikes, and experiences.

According to Spotify Stats, my most listened to artists over the last 6 months are INXS, Roxy Music (give me all the sad 80s music!) Cigarettes After Sex, Fleetwood Mac, Frank Ocean, Sade, Khruangbin, and Rhye.

Hydrangeas, the beach, long days, fireworks, adventures with my kids - always with my camera in hand.

I asked them what some of my favorite things are and they said: "photography, yoga, and us - that's it." They aren't wrong!

Through yoga, I cultivate the skill of  "just being" in each moment, a skill that seamlessly translates into my photography. This practice helps me to not only see the world around me with greater clarity, but also to show up with more patience and better attuned to meet the needs of my clients. Without sounding too woo-woo!

My yoga practice has profoundly influenced my photographic approach by helping me to prioritize presence and intention.

Think we might be a good fit?

It allows me to slow down, truly see people, and witness the beauty in everyday moments. There’s something deeply valuable about this process—about being present, about paying attention, about capturing what might otherwise slip away.

Some of my earliest and most meaningful experiences with photography were in my grandparents’ home, documenting our family traditions on film. I photographed the small but significant moments — baking cookies in their kitchen, Sunday night macaroni around the table, big holidays spent together. Those images became more than just photographs; they became a way to preserve our family’s story, a tangible connection to the love and traditions that shaped me.

Instead, photography became my creative voice—a way to translate feelings, memories, and fleeting moments into something lasting. Whether I’m documenting my own family or capturing moments for others, photography feels like an act of love, a way to hold onto what matters most.

There’s something sacred about photographing people’s lives. It’s deeply personal, a reflection of connection, memory, and emotion. In a world wired for constant rushing, photography gives us something to hold onto — a tangible reminder of who we are, where we’ve been, and the love that surrounds us.

I approach my work with an open heart, led by intuition, emotion, and a deep appreciation for human connection. I believe the best images aren’t just seen—they’re felt. My role isn’t to stage, but to observe, to witness, and to create something honest and meaningful. Every photograph is a reflection, a reminder, a way of saying: This mattered. You matter. And here is something beautiful to remember it by.

When I’m not photographing clients, I still reach for my camera — especially when the world feels quiet. This personal gallery is a glimpse into the slower, more reflective side of my work, captured entirely on film.

Photography, for me, is more than just an art form—it’s a way of experiencing the world.

I’ve always been drawn to art, but I never felt like a traditional fine artist.
